Yes We Can (Date)!

GUI: Airi GUI by RomanPick from 4 "choose-your-own-adventure" style narratives, drawing from the conventions of real person fanfiction (RPF) and political satire.  Navigate intimate, humorous, and occasionally absurd romantic scenarios with fictionalized versions of U.S. political figures. 

This project stems from my interest in Political RPF as an alternative and collaborative form of political commentary, critique, coping, and satire.  By translating these observed fan practices into a playable simulation, I hope to critically investigate how narrative world building, satire, and digital intimacy shape public feelings toward political figures.

*This project is still in development. The RFK Jr. route is the most playable*

11/11/25 - Prototype 1.1:

• RFK Jr. route is playable to the end of Day 3. Backgrounds and sprites are plugged in; some settings/characters have placeholder art. 
• AOC route only has the introductory scene

12/1/25 - Protoype 1.2:

• Updated selection screen with audio
• RFK Jr. route is playable to the end of Day 4. Some music and SFX have been added to early scenes
• Updated Marianne character sprite
• No update to AOC route

12/10/25  - Protoype 1.3:

• Updated 'About' page
• RFK Jr. route playable to the end of Day 5
• Added nighttime bedroom background
• No update to AOC route
